The Electrify Portland! Home Electrification Fair is a free, festive, one-day event for homeowners and renters ready to start transitioning their homes from gas (or old electric) to efficient electric. Our 2023 event included:

  • 30+ exhibitors indoors and out, including local contractors, nonprofits, and experts on incentives and rebates

  • Live induction cooking demos (and samples) from a local Portland chef

  • Learn about and sign up for Community Solar on the spot (green power and lower electric bills). Just bring along your latest electric bill

  • Electric Tailgating Party powered by an F-150 Lightning truck from Birdsmouth Design-Build

  • Individual 15-minute consults on how to begin electrifying your home

  • Kid Zone with two bouncy castles, activities, and live music from Jessa Campbell and the Saplings —all plugged in to OSU’s solar trailer 

  • Try out an e-bike or e-scooter with Clever Cycles or REV Rides

  • Opportunities for renters too! Community Energy Project, Verde, and others have resources so anyone can shift towards efficient electric living

  • Speakers and presentations, including Sen. Jeff Merkley, Sam Baraso of PCEF, and Brian Stewart of ElectrifyNow

  • Walk away with a personalized home electrification plan

  • Meet reliable local contractors and experts
