Portland, OR – June 10, 2025 – Get ready to make your home healthier, more comfy, and resilient! Join us for the Electrify Portland! Home Electrification Fair on Saturday, September 27th from 11am-3pm, hosted at the beautiful Redd on Salmon Street (831 SE Salmon St.). Whether you're a homeowner or renter, this free, festive home electrification fair offers inspiration and practical tips for switching from gas or older electric to efficient, renewable electric.

Hosted by ElectrifyPDX, Electrify Portland! is your one-stop shop for exploring high-efficiency heat pumps, heat pump water heaters, solar, and even electric lawn equipment—all with the guidance of trusted local contractors who specialize in home electrification.

Take a spin on an e-bike or test drive an EV! Watch as we whip up delicious treats on an induction cooktop, showcasing its efficiency and ease. Talk with electrification experts, get personalized advice, and learn how to make your personal electrification plan. Plus, don’t miss our series of Lightning Talks.

  • Kid-Friendly Activities: The Electrify Portland! Fair will include fun activities to entertain kids while parents gather resources. These include a bouncy castle, games, live music, the Taco Pedaler food trike, and free ice cream and paletas (for grown-ups too!).

  • Lightning Talks: A series of short presentations to help you learn more about the world of efficient electrification.

"Electrify Portland! is not just an event, but a movement towards a more sustainable future," said Shannon Wilson, Program Manager for ElectrifyPDX. "We're excited to bring together experts, homeowners, and renters to showcase the benefits of home electrification. With the latest technologies and incentives available, there has never been a better time to transition to efficient renewable electric."

This year’s event is supported by Elemental Energy, Green Savers, Neil Kelly, PGE, A&R Solar, Balanced Energy Solutions, Birdsmouth Design and Build, Cascadia Community Energy, Climate Solutions, Great Northwest Installations, The Heat Pump Store, National Solar, Oregon Department of Energy, Power Northwest, Resilient Retrofits, and Basco Appliances.

According to ElectrifyPDX co-founder Eli Spevak, “Across the city and across the income spectrum, Portlanders are increasingly powering their homes with clean energy. We’re helping to accelerate that trend.”

“We hope folks will join us on the 27th, whether or not they are in a financial position to make changes now. The important thing is to get educated about options and make a plan, so that whenever a gas or old electric appliance breaks—and it will—Portlanders will be prepared to make the switch to efficient electric,” said Kristi Kimball, a founder of Electrify Oregon.

Join us on Saturday, September 27th, from 11am to 3pm, in The Redd's main hall, demonstration kitchen, and parking area to learn, engage, and experience the power of electrification. Admission is free, and all are welcome to attend this dynamic event.
